Inclusive Kwick Cricket KS2

This academic year, the Humber School Games has introduced Inclusive Kwick Cricket into the pathway of competition for primary schools. This is a welcome addition and as a result we delivered our first Indoor Inclsuive Kwick Cricket Championships for primary schools in Hull. Inclusive Kwik Cricket enables SEN/disabled (SEND) and non-SEND players to compete in every aspect of the game. Adaptations can be made to make it possible for different players to compete together.

The event took place at the Nuffield Tennis Academy, providing a perfect indoor venue for the Yorkshire Cricket Board and First4Cricket to organise a showcase event.

We had the pleasure of welcoming the following schools; Ganton Special School, Dorchester, Biggin Hill, Gillshill, Mountbatten and Longhill primary schools on the day. Many of the players hadn’t played Cricket beforehand and this would be there first experience of the sport.

Congratulations to the Longhill Cricketers who won the competition and will represent Hull at the Humber Schools Games Finals in July 2020!
