HOCKEY SKILL CHALLENGE
How to Enter
Register your school on www.yourschoolgames.com (Contact Alex Sherwood if you need to reset your school login credentials). We’re also encouraging schools to engage parents/carers to record ‘At Home’ attempts!
All entries to be made before deadline: FRIDAY 11th December 2020
How to Play
Players are pirates, their coned area is their boat & the balls are the treasure! You need between 12 - 20 pirates split into 4 boats. The distance of your square area should be 7mx7m in size (this is important to ensure the same distance is achieved across different schools!)
The first player in each team runs to the middle of the playing area, collects a ball & dribbles it back to their base.
The next player runs & collects the next ball and so on If all the balls disappear from the middle, players should run to other pirates boats & ‘steal’ a ball within the time limit
After the game ends, ask teams to count up the number of balls they have.
1 ball = 5 points. 20 balls should be used for this game.
90 seconds to be timed by the teacher.
Record each of the 4 teams total scores - submit your winning team score point total!
How to Score
Your score should be the total amount of balls collected during the 90 seconds. Remember each ball is worth 5 points and this game should be played with exactly 20 balls.
